And so it begins…

This is a long time coming, and here it is.

My name’s Andrew Sorohan, and this is my comic. Whether you’re here from Townsville, or Brisbane, or Muttaburra… or anywhere else in the world… I welcome you whole heartedly. See thing is — I need readers. To keep this crazy thing going I need readers to keep coming back and reading. Without readers I have no one actually reading. So what’s the point then?

So what to expect? Well… the comic is going to follow a really strong structure (you have to believe it because I bolded it) of one page stories followed by long ongoing stories. The one-page stories will be your interludes, so that you can have a rest from the intense ongoing drama. You’ll get to know our main character, Thomas, really well as things go along.

The main thing is that this comic will be updated every Wednesday at 9am. I chose Wednesday because it’s the middle of the week — it gives you something to look forwards to to help you get through hump day. Plus it gives me two days grace after the weekend to get the thing up online.

This first strip is… an indulgence. You’ve gotta have it — you’ve gotta have “Once upon a time” to start a fairytale. Except… I forgot to put that in when I was originally writing the story. Duh. Fool. So I decided when I was getting ready to include a Once Upon a Time, to really, truly, make an effort of it. Each letter contains a glimpse of things to come — a teaser for stories, plots, characters, or creations you can expect to see in the future. Well… all except the letter A. That’s just a bunch of my… old characters. Maybe if you went to school with me you’ll recognise them, otherwise… well… wait and see eventually I plan to do something with them too.

I want this first strip to be one that fans can go back to, and to see things differently in it as the story unfolds.

By the way, my mate David Willis over at Shortpacked has published a few comic strips by me in the past. Check out:

His comic is really geeky, but totally worth a visit if you ask me.

As I wrap up this post I must send out thanks to my trusty web guy, Jon Hayward — there’s a Developers at Large link just to the bottom at all times if you ever wanna connect up with him. Heck, just click here, boys and girls:

And don’t forget to email me, or leave a comment on this blog entry, or send me some snail mail. Talk to me people! I’m needy and want your feedback.

(Sorry to anyone who was trying to view the site first thing Wednesday — a couple of technical difficulties there. But it’s all fixed up. Yay.)
