Character models

Here’s a bunch of   Thomas character models, showing off some off some of the different outfits he’s worn over the course of the series:

A character model entirely based around showing him with something in his back pocket.

The sash is a bandage.

Spider-man, Spider-man, doin' whatever a spider can...

I love that shirt.

This one's a turning point -- this is about the point where I decided to really do proper character models for everything.

This one is specifically to hurt Spider-man fans' brains.

Note how it says I changed the t-shirt. That's because it originally had a swear word on it.

Thomas doesn't swear -- so I changed the T-shirt to a more subtle joke about shit hitting the fan.

One for the ladies! (and the gay men, I guess.)

A currently unused character model.

This is a model for the Coming of the Old Ones story.

An as-yet unused character model from the newspaper strip! (This caption will go out of date quickly!)

Design Sketches
Here’s some really early sketches of Thomas. I’ve tried to leave the notes on where possible so you can see  a little better what I was thinking at the time. Thomas’ character pretty much came out fully formed in terms of design and mostly it’s been a matter of just refining him since then. The exacting details of his nose and hair have changed, but not much else really. Oh, I guess I did put him in shorts and a short-sleeved T-shirt. That was a revelation.

Yup, his name was almost "Henry"

I got the name "Fridge Magnates" wrong on his actual t-shirt? Idiot.
